Hi there! My name is Yee Ting (旖婷 in Chinese!), and I go by Alex. I was born in Hong Kong and came to the US for college in 2022. Since then I have fallen more in love with sports, professional or collegiate. I got into hockey after transferring to Boston University, which was probably the biggest reason why I decided to pick up sports photography.

My first game was BU’s women ice hockey team’s pre-season game against Concordia for our students radio’s sports section in September 2025. I knew I was really passionate about sports photography right after that one game. It hasn’t been that long since then, but I have learned so much with all these opportunities, from WTBU to freelancing for BU Athletics. And I have met so many incredible people along the way.

I’m so fascinated by how I could capture all the actions on the fields, the courts, the ice, as well as all the emotions from wins, losses, pride, using my shutter.

All photos are taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III that my dad owns probably since I was in elementary school. (But hey, it does the job!) I look forward to what this is taking me to!
